The Friends of the Free Library of Northampton Twp.
~ Bookstore ~

Located in the front of the library, just past the service desk, the FOFLNT bookstore has been in operation since 2014. It is managed and lovingly stocked and kept neat by Friends volunteers Phyllis Hall, Phyllis’s husband Bob Hall, Dot Mockus, and George Salapka. It is one of the Friends’ primary source of funds.

The store accepts hardcover books, paperback books, DVD's, CD’s, and jigsaw puzzles that are in good condition. The best of the items are displayed for sale in the store or, in a few cases, listed on eBay for sale or auction. Many of the remaining items are sold to another reseller or donated to other organizations.

The great majority of the items are sold for one dollar. A couple of times a year, groups of books are put into paper grocery bags and sold for $3 a bag. Coffee table books, collectibles, or other books determined to have a "high" value are sold for more and mass market paperbacks are sold for 50 cents.

Not accepted are magazines or games. If a donation does contain magazines, they are put into recycling. Resourceful Phyllis has been able to sell the donated games when they have all the pieces (she checks) but, technically, they are not an item that we accept.

The physical store is located in the front of the library (facing the parking lot).
